About Us
The Department of Electrical engineering is established in 1993, the Department of Electrical Engineering has an excellent team of experienced, qualified faculty and non-teaching staff. It has a 21 years long history of technical education. The Faculty member’s research papers are published in peer reviewed journals like IEEE and IEE. The department is always enthusiastic in conducting various courses and workshops for the faculty and students to permeate advances in technology.
The department is well equipped with Broad-band of 100Mbps speed and Wi-Fi facility. The Electrical department has three phase power supply in the Electrical Machines lab and also has a DC Rectifier to provide supply to DC Machines.
The department has developed excellent laboratories in the domain of Electrical Machines lab which consists
1. DC Machines which consists of DC Generators and DC Motors
2. AC Machines which consists of AC Generators and AC Motors
3. Starters for DC and AC machines
4. Single phase Machines
5. Special Machines, AC and DC Servomotors, Reluctance Motor, Hybrid Motors, Universal Motors etc.
6. Transformers of Single and Three phase, Auto Transformer.
The department has developed excellent laboratories in the domain of Basic Electrical Engineering lab which consists of
1. Testing of Series and Parallel Resistances circuits
2. Test circuit Ohms law
3. Test circuits of Kirchhoff’s law
4. Basic theorem circuits of Superposition, Thevenins, Nortons, Maximum power etc.
5. Testing of Series RL, RC, RLC series and parallel circuits.
6. Testing of Bridge circuits.
These laboratories are proving helpful in elevating the UG courses of all the Engineering streams of education offered by the college.
