Movie Club
Movie club is existing in Anuradha Engineering College where latest Hollywood movies base on science fiction and history are shown to club members.
The ultimate aim to start movie club is to develop & broaden the vision of students, especially in creativity.
The purpose of the club is to develop and explore over all personality of members.
The club was inaugurated on 13th Feb 2014 by the hands of Hon’ble Milind Gunaji (a vibrant Marathi actor).
By far the most celebrated club, the Movie Club occupies a special place in every student's heart.
Its tremendous popularity can be gauged by the fact that it has more members than any other.
It has been a trend that every fresher in the college would join the Movie Club, even if he chooses to join no other.
The club was started by a few ardent movie enthusiasts with the aim of providing regular entertainment to AECians in the form of interesting as well as enlightening cinema.
The club screens a movie once in a week in college timing where free slot of 2 hours is offered regular schedule.
The club also has a room reserved exclusively for itself where the members can go and watch movies of their choice on the using exclusively purchased DVDs by the club.
Even if someone missed the displayed movies, the member can always view it later. The Film Club has a wide range of movies like science fiction and history. Keeping all interests in mind, the club has something for each of its members.
AEC students are not merely spectators but knowledgeable about cinema.
Film can help develop all four communicative skills. For example, a whole film or sequence can be used to practise listening and reading, and as a model for speaking and writing.
Film can also act as a springboard for follow-up tasks such as discussions, debates on social issues, role plays, reconstructing a dialogue or summarising.
It is also possible to bring further variety to the language learning classroom by screening different types of film: feature-length films, short sequences of films, short films, and adverts.
